After years of research Flushaway has perfected and patented the technology for replacing the plastic films used in sanitary pads and liners, with its own B-9b film. This revolutionary film has all the properties of regular plastic for the purpose of containing menstrual fluids yet it begins to break down as soon as it comes in contact with the water in the toilet bowl. The swirling action and agitation in the bowl helps break down the napkin so that it is totally flushable. The rest of the material used in the pads breaks apart while flowing through the pipes and biodegrades within 28 days. Flushaway pads and Liners biodegrades 66% faster than the ASTM D5988-03 International standard requirements.

The dispersed pads and liners continue to break down while traveling through the sewer system with the remaining material degradation taking place once in contact with micro-organisms. No residual material will remain to cause any problems in the sewer or septic systems.

The unique plastic-like moisture barrier made exclusively from our patented B-9 film, is the main point of difference with the other national brands. The ability of this film to dissolve in the water is the key to the breakdown process, which makes this product the first and only flushable product in the world.
